Runebit Dice

Engagement terms

Last updated · April 2026

This page is a plain-language summary of how Runebit Dice engagements work. It is not a full contract. Every engagement is confirmed by a short written scope of work (SOW) exchanged by email before work begins.

What we deliver

Runebit Dice produces custom dice visuals — renders, transparent PNGs, face-layout references, turntables, and quote-prep notes — for tabletop crowdfunding campaigns, TTRPG creators, and board-game publishers. We are a visual-assets studio, not a dice manufacturer. Face-layout sheets are references for your tooling conversation with a manufacturer; they are not vendor approval.

Scope

Each engagement is defined by a per-die SOW naming the die type, materials, ink style, deliverable list, and timeline. Work outside the agreed SOW is a new scope.

Revisions

Included revisions are tier-specific: Quote Prep / Discovery includes none (single final-material pass), Pilot includes 1 round, Prelaunch Lite includes 1 round, Prelaunch Visual Packet includes 1 round across the hero and packet, and the Campaign Package includes 2 rounds across the asset set. The offer ladder on the portfolio page and the REVISIONS.txt note in your sample delivery packet are the source of truth; your SOW will state the exact count and timing. Additional revision rounds are quoted at a flat rate based on the deliverable's rendering cost.

Timeline

A single-die packet typically ships in 3-10 business days after final direction is locked. Timelines are best-effort; we will flag slippage as early as possible.

Payment

Final-payment refunds are not offered; scope disputes are resolved through the revision rounds defined in your Statement of Work. Chargebacks are responded to with the signed SOW, deposit invoice, delivered drafts, and final-delivery receipts — please raise scope concerns during revision rounds rather than via chargeback.

Ownership and use

On full payment, you receive a perpetual non-exclusive license to use the delivered renders, transparent assets, and sheets for your campaign, product listing, social, and marketing materials. Runebit Dice retains rights to generic material presets, lighting setups, and pipeline tooling used in production.

Portfolio and case-study use of completed work requires explicit written client permission, granted per project. The intake form offers three options — post-launch portfolio use OK, anonymized only, or fully private — and Runebit Dice honors the option you select. A confidentiality add-on can cover stricter handling, NDA terms, or longer retention/deletion requirements.

Confidentiality

Project details, unpublished art, and mechanics you share are held in confidence until your public announcement. If you need a signed NDA before sharing, say so and we'll use yours or ours.

Cancellation

Either side may cancel before delivery. You pay for work completed to that point. Deposits for in-progress polyset work are retained to cover rendering time already spent.

Liability

Runebit Dice is not responsible for manufacturing outcomes, tooling decisions, or costs incurred downstream of the delivered references. Final tooling, depth, tolerances, and material choices stay with your manufacturer.

These terms are provided in good faith as a plain-language summary. Your specific SOW controls if anything conflicts.
